우리한국학교는 한글교육을 중심으로 한 한국문화와 역사를 함께 배울 수 있는 교육 기관입니다. 봄학기와 가을학기로 구성되어 있고, 매 학기 토요일 오전 3시간씩 총15주 동안 다양하고 풍부한 수업을 제공하고 있습니다.
우리한국학교에서는 학습자의 연령과 언어 레벨에 따라 다양한 수업을 제공하고 있습니다. 다음과 같은 수업이 마련되어 있으며, 등록을 하면 레벨 테스트를 통해 반배정이 됩니다. 수업 시간에는 대한민국 교육부에서 제공하는 <재외동포를 위한 한국어> 교재를 주교재로 이용하고 그 외에도 다양한 학습 자료 등을 사용하여 풍성한 수업을 진행하고 있습니다.
또 한국문화 및 역사에 대한 이해를 깊이 있게 향상시킬 수 있도록 설날, 추석과 같은 명절이나 한글날과 같은 기념일에는 특별한 행사를 하기도 합니다.
Our Korean School is an educational institution offering Korean language classes along with cultural and historical lessons. It is organized into spring and fall semesters, providing a variety of enriching classes that meet for three hours every Saturday morning across a span of 15 weeks.
At Our Korean School, we offer a variety of classes tailored to the age and language level of our learners. Upon registration, students are placed into classes based on a level assessment. Our curriculum primarily utilizes the textbook, Korean for Overseas Koreans, provided by the South Korean Ministry of Education, and is supplemented with various educational materials to enrich the learning experience.
In addition, we host special events to deepen the understanding of Korean culture and history, especially during traditional holidays like Seollal (Lunar New Year) and Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving), as well as on commemorative days such as Hangul Day.

Although our classes are held in a building generously provided by the Sacramento Korean Presbyterian Church, we are an independent organization that does not engage in any religious activities during our classes. Our goal is to create an inclusive and harmonious community, welcoming individuals from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds.

Class Levels
유치반 Pre-K
한글 공부에 앞서 노래, 만들기와 같은 다양한 방법을 통해 한글과 친숙해지는 시간을 가집니다.
The Pre-K class acquaints our youngest learners with Korean by engaging them in activities such as singing, arts and crafts, and speaking practice.
기초반 Basic
한글 자모음 학습 및 간단한 대화 능력 향상을 위한 수업이 진행됩니다.
Focuses on learning Hangul (Korean alphabet) consonants and vowels, and improving basic conversational skills.
초급반 Beginner
한글 문장 읽기, 쓰기, 듣기, 말하기 등의 기초적인 언어 능력을 강화하는 과정이 제공됩니다.
Emphasizes reading, writing, listening, and speaking in simple Korean sentences to strengthen fundamental language skills.
중급반 Intermediate
어휘 확장, 문법 학습 등을 통해 언어 습득을 깊이 있게 다룹니다.
Offers an in-depth study of vocabulary expansion and grammar for deeper language acquisition.
고급반 Advanced
고사성어, 한자어 등 높은 수준의 어휘 능력을 기르고 작문 및 한영 번역 등 다양한 방법을 통해 한국어 실력을 심화해 나갑니다.
Concentrates on higher-level vocabulary, including idiomatic expressions and Hanja (Chinese characters used in Korean), as well as composition and Korean-English translation to further enhance Korean proficiency.
한영반 KSL
영어 사용자를 위한 별도의 반입니다. 영어로 수업이 이루어져 학습자가 빠른 시간에 효과적으로 한글을 습득할 수 있도록 합니다.
Korean as a Second Language (KLS) class specifically designed for English speakers, conducted in English to facilitate quick and effective Korean learning.
성인반 Adult
고등학생 이상 성인들을 대상으로 하는 수업으로 한글 기초부터 중급 과정까지 영어로 수업이 이루어집니다.
Aimed at high school students and adults, these classes cover Korean basics to intermediate levels, and are taught in English.
