Our latest Korea Stories session, in collaboration with Sacramento State, concluded beautifully with Professor Hyangsuk Kwon’s open talk, “Diaspora to Diaspora : Life Stories Across Borders.” 🌍 It was a profound time sharing the resonant life stories of Zainichi Koreans that transcend borders. 📖🌿 Taking this session off-campus to connect with local book clubs made the evening even more special. From the engaging discussion to the warm communal dinner, it was a night that truly strengthened our community bonds. Thank you to everyone who joined us! ❤️

KLCCSac & Sac State Asian Studies Program are delighted to present an Open Talk featuring Professor Hyangsuk Kwon.

As a Zainichi Korean scholar, Prof. Kwon will share insightful perspectives on identity and life across borders in her talk: “Diaspora to Diaspora: Life Stories Across Borders.”

This event is specially designed as an off-campus gathering to celebrate spring and strengthen our community ties. 🌸 We are excited to welcome local book club members for an evening of interactive discussion and a shared dinner.
