From Hangul to Home:
Funding a Future Home for KLCCSac
2023년 가을, 우리 아이들이 한국어와 한국 문화를 배우며 새크라멘토 지역 사회에서 건강한 커뮤니티를 이룰 수 있기를 바라며 학부모와 교사들이 함께 새로운 일을 시작하였습니다.
현재 새크라멘토 한국문화센터(KLCCSac)는 180명의 학생이 한국어와 민화 수업을 듣고 있고, 17명의 교사와 25명의 고등학생 TA들이 함께하는 새크라멘토 지역 최대 규모이자 다양성을 갖춘 한국 학교로 성장했습니다.
학교의 규모가 커지고 현 장소의 사정이 변함에 따라, 2026년 5월을 마지막으로 지금 사용하고 있는 장소를 떠나 다음 단계로 나아가고자 합니다. 우리 학생들과 가족들이 중단 없이 교육을 이어갈 수 있도록, KLCCSac은 안전하고 적절한 교육 공간 확보를 위한 기금 조성 캠페인 “From Hangul to Home” 1단계를 시작하며, 목표 금액을 $30,000로 정하였습니다.
이번 노력은 우리가 함께 일구어낸 소중한 것들, 즉 아이들이 언어를 배우고 문화를 접하며 평생 이어질 우정을 쌓아가는 이 터전을 지키는 힘이 될 것입니다.

In fall 2023, families and educators came together to build something new in Sacramento — a welcoming place where children could learn Korean language and culture while forming meaningful connections with their community.
Today, the Korean Language and Cultural Center of Sacramento (KLCCSac) serves 180 language and Minhwa students, supported by 17 teachers and 25 high school teaching assistants, making it the largest and most diverse Korean language school in the Sacramento region.
Due to our growth and changing needs at our current host site, our final day at this location will be May 2026, and we are moving on to the next phase of our organization. To ensure continuity for our students and families, KLCCSac is launching Phase 1 of the “From Hangul to Home” Capital Campaign, with an initial goal of $30,000 to secure a safe and appropriate space for our programs.
This effort will help protect what we’ve built together — a place where children can learn language, connect with culture, and build lasting friendships.
We invite our community to support this campaign and help shape the future of KLCCSac by sharing ideas for programs and activities in a new space.
